How to Change your Password

Click Change Password from the menu on the left of WCC to begin. Enter your new password below the words New Password and then again in the New Password Again box and click the Change Password button to complete the change. You will see a message that says: Your password has been changed.

Next time you log in, you will need to use your new password.

What passwords are being changed?

When you change the password, this will change the password for the login to the Website Control Center (WCC), FTP login, and the SQL logins. Since the password for the SQL logins will be syncronized to your new password, the password used by various applications in your account will need to be updated. Any applications that you set up using Easy Script Setup in the Website Control Center will not need to be manually updated. Those applications are automatically synchronized to the new password.

NOTE: Changing the password here will not change the password for your email administration site. To change your E-mail Admin password please contact webmaster@netins.net .

Password Protection:

You can enable password protection on folders within your website and only users with a valid username and password will be able to access content in the password protected folder. You can also enable password protection for the entire website and only users with a valid username and password will be allowed to view your site online.

Please note: that our easy to use password protection does not work if you have Microsoft FrontPage Server Extensions enabled on your website. If you use FrontPage, you will need to deploy your password protection through FrontPage instead of using our password protection option.

After selecting Password Protect a New Folder you will be taken to a second screen. All existing folders should be represented below the words: Please select a folder to protect . Click the link to the folder you wish to password protect, you will see the words Add Password Protection to Folder with the name of your selected folder in the box. If this information is correct click the button Password Protect this Folder.

To password protect your whole site click the Password Protect Entire Website button. You will be directed to a second page. Do not change the entry in the box following the words Add Password Protection to Folder: . Click the button that says Password Protect this Folder.

You will be directed to another page where you can click the Add User to Protected Folder button to add usernames and passwords for site access. Type the username and password you wish to assign into the fields provided and click the Add User to Password Protected Folder button. This is also the page in which you can remove password protection from your site by clicking Remove Password Protection from Folder.
